This is a very cozy place! The garlic aioli french toast is a must try!!!! The crab cake Benedict was also excellent! They can go easy on the butter on all their items though, but then there’s probably nothing like less butter in Louisiana :P

Jimmy J's is by far my favorite cafe in the city! We eat there every time we are in the area. The staff is super friendly. And the food is PHENOMENAL!! If you are going for breakfast get there early though. They only have about a dozen tables and it fills up quick.

My favorite French quarter breakfast spot. Friendly service and amazing dishes. Can't miss bacon bloody Mary's too!

Small intimate spot, so there may be a wait. The pancakes had an interesting flavor my palate was not accustomed to. The manager exchanged them for biscuits. Customer service is top notch.

After waiting about 20 minutes outside for a table, we were finally seated. At first it did have good customer service, a cute little place- but after they took our orders (which were all fairly simple, Eggs Americano) they took about 45 minutes to bring us some mediocre food. On top of that, not once did they come around and check up on us, even though we were the guests who had been there the longest. My boyfriend and his parents were never offered a refill on their drinks, and we watched as people who had ordered after us received more complex dishes than we did. Definitely not worth the wait.

Great food but a small place. You’ll likely wait at least half an hour before getting in. The waitresses were nice and quirky. Eggs benny was really good.

A great place for breakfast. We were here several years and came here a couple times for breakfast. The food is great and it's a good value.

The service was amazing. It is a funky little spot but worth it. Food is decent. Banana nut bread was a little burnt and coffee is alright. Rancheros was good. They don't take reservations but the line moves fast.

Great energy, music, staff. The flavor pairings are nothing I would have thought to do. Absolutely delicious! If you're into adventure and your palette is open, this is a must!

My boyfriend and I live four hours away and we're willing to make the drive just for Jimmy J's. This is an amazing place with some of the best food we've ever had. If you do nothing else in New Orleans, stop at Jimmy J's.

Overall, the breakfast I had here was good. The service was friendly and they kept my coffee filled. I think the sausages were a bit tough and could have been more favorable.

Awesome funky little place. Their sausage breakfast sandwich was huge and very tasty. Usually a line outside, but so worth the wait. Will definitely come back next time we're in town.

We had a really hard time trying to find good places to eat in the French quarter, that was filling and just plain out tasted good. This place was just across from our Hotel on canal street. I had woken up with the worst ever hang over on Lundi Gras, so this was in a perfect location, just short enough walking distance so I wouldn’t fall over and die. We had eggs Benedict with their Cajun potato’s and biscuits & gravy. All of it was fantastic. I’d love to come here again.

While the food was very good, we waited 40 minutes for our food to come while tables that were sat 30 minutes after us received their food minutes after us. We were given horrible reasons for the delay in our order and never received any apology. Shame because the food was very good.

I ordered the cap n crunch french toast, green onion sausage and home fries and everything was amazing. Already looking forward to going back. The restaurant is small only about 12 tables so there could be a wait.

We arrived at 9:15 am on a Tuesday in early March to find we were first in line to wait for one of the 8 tables. Maybe 15 minutes until we were seated. My husband ordered the Crab Cake Benedict which was fantastic! The eggs were poached so gently and the crab cake was not a bunch of breading- just a light coat to keep it together.I ordered the seafood crepe, which ended up being just shrimp as they were out of crawfish. It was pleasant but a bit bland for me. The potatoes were almost black but mostly edible. I wanted to love the food and would definitely go back but my meal was not what I’d hoped for- had the cheese been melted in the crepe instead of cold, and potatoes that weren’t over cooked. Still, cute place, interesting menu and excellent crab cake Benedict, and the orange juice was fresh squeeze delish!

Wow. Really great food and service. Less than a dozen tables - worth the wait if there is one. Food was fresh and original - breakfast with a New Orleans spin on menu items. The staff was hustling and happy - what a cool environment. Highly recommend. Note - you might walk right by it - you have to look for the stained glass storefront and find the door - don’t miss this one!

SO, SO Good! Maybe its because I am a Yankee and don't know this level of food in my world (its not), but this place does it right! Its tiny and cozy, but delicious. My only regret was not getting a pork chop!

We went around 2pm for a late breakfast and there was no line- they close at 3. Everything is made from scratch, so it takes a little while to get the food. Cute venue.

Cool small atmosphere but my friend didn’t like her meal and asked to exchange it after taking two bites and the cook told her she had to leave it on the table and she wasn’t allowed to send it back she had to pay for it and if she wanted something else she would have to pay for that too. Then we get the check and we had 6 people and they said they couldn’t split the check we had to pay it all on one card. The service was very bad which is disappointing because it looks like it has potential. Also the table next to us also had issues so we know it wasn’t just us. Not a great way to spend your money and time in NOLA.

Small extremely busy restaurant, seats about 25 people. There was a small 30min or so wait to be seated, which was totally fine. I read reviews that the staff was very fun and friendly, mine was not. Although I did not feel pressured to quickly finish my meal so that those outside standing in line could be seated, I did feel pressure to “ hurry up and order”. While serving or taking our order, the waitress was not focused on us at all, constantly looking around and never made any eye contact. However, the food definitely made up for the lack in service. When traveling I get the Shrimp and Grits 90% of the time and this was one of the best. Also, two thumbs up for the fried green tomatoes. I will definitely return and pray I get a different wait staff member.

A unique perspective on cajun/creole cuisine. Fairly priced menu items, excellent cook and wait staff that treats you better than your own family. Fresh food well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The best location to come to for breakfast and/or lunch. Impressive to even the unimpressed individual, whether local or from out of town.

Absolutely delicious! Bacon/cucumber Bloody Mary's were really good too! We showed up about 10:00am on a Thursday morning, the day after New Years. The wait was short but we were only like the 3rd or 4th group in line. The place only has about 12 tables so it's not very big but it's not super crowded. The service was great! Definitely worth checking out!

Delicious brunch and friendly staff. I ordered a Crab Benedict with coffee and everything tasted great. Not too far from the French Quarter. This location is extremely small however, so it'll be hard to find a table for more than four people during peak hours.

Delicious, buttery food! Don't go here if you're watching your waist line. The ranchero I picked up was wonderful. There isn't much space inside so watch out for that on busy days.

Great breakfast/brunch spot. It's a small space with not a lot of seating, so there may be a wait. We waited about 15 minutes. Went there for Sunday brunch. I had pineapple rum raisin french toast, which was amazing. My wife had Creole eggs benedict and loved it. Just the right portions. Nice atmosphere, cool art decor and great service.

What a fantastic breakfast. Just a little place, but they have so much to offer. A great selection of food to choose from. You show up, line up out the door, and wait to be called. The wait is typically around 20 minutes, but well worth it. We tried the fruity pebbles French toast, banana-nut French bread, and beignet sticks. All to die for. I would love to frequent this establishment. Would eat here again.
